The CompuDent STA System by Milestone Scientific is a computer-controlled local anesthesia delivery system designed to provide precise, controlled, and comfortable administration of dental anesthetic injections. Its primary function is to regulate anesthetic flow rate and pressure, allowing clinicians to perform procedures such as single-tooth anesthesia, periodontal ligament injections, palatal injections, and other localized techniques while minimizing patient discomfort. The system features Dynamic Pressure Sensing (DPS) technology to monitor tissue resistance in real time, confirming proper needle placement during administration. Upon arrival, the unit underwent a complete visual inspection and was found to be damage-free and complete, including the handpiece, control unit, foot pedal, foot pedal connector, and power cord. The unit was set up on a 120V power source, and all indicators illuminated bright green with fully responsive keypad controls. Function testing using the foot pedal caused the handpiece pin to rise, simulating anesthesia delivery, with both normal and turbo settings functioning properly. Cosmetically, the unit shows minor staining but no major cosmetic damage, and no mechanical defects were identified during inspection. Final product quality inspection status: Passed..
