Prior to testing this autoclave, it was inspected to verify it's functionality and cosmetic condition. Then it was completely disassembled down to it's bare chassis, cleaned and rebuilt using it's existing components and installing new components. The Reservoir Tank was cleaned inside and out, and a new Reservoir Cap, Reservoir Filter and Water Pump Filter and Drain Kit upgrade were installed. For Preventive Maintenance Purposes, A new Water Pump, Safety Valve, Boiler Check Valve and Biological Filter were installed. Disassembled the Air Valve Solenoid, cleaned and installed a new Air Valve Plunger. Installed a new Probe Bracket Assembly and chamber Microswitch. Disassembled the Sterilizing Cassette, cleaned, rebuilt and installed a new Cassette Seal. To test this sterilizer, it was properly levelled to ensure cassette drying. Then it was connected to a 120 volt power source, a donor condenser waste bottle was attached and distilled water was added. Then the autoclave was calibrated to verify it's making it's required sterilizing temperature, and was then tested with a Max Register Thermometer and found to exceed 273 F for an entire cycle. To verify that this autoclave is functioning correctly, it was run through all it's preset sterilizing and drying cycles several times. And no issues came up during it's testing.
