Prior to testing this autoclave, the sterilizer was completely disassembled, cleaned and then rebuilt up to refurbished condition. To insure that this autoclave dries sterilization packages properly, the Door Latch assembly was disassembled, cleaned, rebuilt and the chamber door was aligned. The Reservoir Tank was cleaned and flushed and a new Drain Hose and Tank Condenser Coil were installed. A new Fill / Vent Valve Assembly and Air Valve were installed. The sterilizing chamber was cleaned and a new Door Panel, Door Gasket, Dam Gasket, Steam Block, Heating Element and Mesh Water Filters were installed. Installed a new Top Cover and Safety Valve as well. The sterilizing Trays and Rack were also cleaned. To test this autoclave, it was connected to a 120 volt power source and distilled water was added. It was tested with sterilization packages in the chamber to verify that it is drying the packages correctly. It was tested through all it's preset sterilizing and drying cycles several times. Then it was temperature tested to verify that it is making it's maximum required sterilizing temperature using a Max Register Thermometer, and found to maintain 273 F during a sterilizing cycle.
