This autoclave is a 2007model with10 cycles on what could be assumed to be newer Display Control Board, evidence and the model year suggest the unit has had many more cycles run on it. Prior to testing this autoclave, the major components were inspected and tested and any issues that were found were repaired. As part of the preventive maintenance practices for this type of Tuttnauer, the Reservoir Tank was cleaned and flushed and a new Safety Valve, Air Jet Valve and Reservoir Cap were installed. Installed a new Water Pump, Door Switch, Power Switch, Door Bellows Assembly and Door Seal. Installed a new HEPA Air drying Filter and Cap. Cleaned the Sterilizing Trays and Rack. To test this autoclave, it was first connected to a 120 volt power source, distilled water was added, it was then properly levelled as per it's chamber size requirement and then testing began. This sterilizer was run through all it's preset sterilizing and drying cycles several times. To verify that this autoclave is achieving it's maximum required sterilizing temperature during a cycle, it was temperature tested with the use of a Max Register Thermometer, and found to exceed 270 F during a sterilization cycle.
