It was inspected inside and out for obvious defects, then it was put through an initial functionality test to verify it is in working order. Then it semi-disassembled to clean. To insure this sterilizers continued operation, preventative maintenance parts were installed, which include, a new Door Switch, Power Switch, Door Seal, Fill Valve, Dump Valve, Air Valve and Exhaust Valve. The Reservoir Tank was cleaned and flushed, and a new Reservoir Cap, Condenser Coil, Safety Valve, and Air Jet Valve were installed. The Chamber and Water Fill Filter were cleaned and a new HEPA Air Drying Filter and Cap were installed. Cleaned the Sterilizing Tray and Rack. Then testing proceeded on this sterilizer. Connected it to a 120 volt power source, added distilled water and ran the autoclave through all it's preset sterilizing and drying cycles. To verify that this autoclave is achieving it's required maximum sterilizing temperature, it was temperature tested using a Max Register Thermometer, and found to reach 273 F for an entire cycle.
